Life Extension Enchanced Irvingia/Calorie Control Complex – 120 Veggie Capsules Review

Overall score: 25/100:
Rating: ★★☆☆☆

African Mango extract has been notoriously famous for being an appetite suppresant and highly effective in reducing unwanted fats. But when combined with other synthetic and herbal ingredients it may not be quite as effective such as products like Life Extension Enhanced Irvingia with Calorie Control Complex.

The product claims to be effective in suppressing your appetite which helps in cutting down your food intake and cravings. It also works by slowing down the absorption of the dietary fats into the intestines as well as the absorption of starches, carbohydrates and sugars into your bloodstream. Another advantage the product offers is that it helps maintain the healthy levels of insulin sensitivity and enhances your energy levels.

However, the product has received more negative reviews than positive ones. Most of the consumers who have tried this product attest it does not work at all in reducing their unwanted weight and fats. Even after several months of use, there were no changes at all. Some even reported adverse effects like frequent bowel movements and total loss of appetite.

Caution must be exercised before you even think about using the product. It is not safe to use if you are taking prescribed medication for lowering glucose or when you are pregnant and lactating.

Ingredients:

According to the website http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item01492/Optimized-Irvingia-with-Phase-3-Calorie-Control-Complex.html the ingredients of the product are:

iodine, chromium, Integra-Lean african mango extract, InSea (composed of demineralized polyphenols coming from Ascophyllum nodosum ( brown seaweed kelp) and Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack), TeaSlender or Camellia sinensis (green tea extract), Phase 2 or phaseolus vulgaris (white kidney bean), Phase 3 or combination of Chromium GlycoProtein Matrix and Sucrase Inhibitor L-Arabinose. Other ingredients are stearic acid, vegetable cellulose (for the capsule), vegetable stearate and silica.

Advantages:

1. delays the absorption and digestion of sucrose
2. enhances energy levels
3. slows down the absorption of fat in the intestines
4. reduces absorption of the carbohydrates, sugars and starches in bloodstream
5. helps in maintaining healthy insulin sensitivity

Disadvantages:

1. expensive at $58
2. lowers the blood glucose
3. you need to consult healthcare provider before taking the product
4. license restrictions prohibit selling in France and Korea
5. cannot be taken if pregnant or lactating

Conclusion:

I would not recommend you to buy the product. For something this expensive, it carries a lot of adverse effects that it even requires the consultation with a health professional before you can actually take it. There is no clinical testing or FDA approval to show that the product is safe and effective to use on a daily basis. The fact it has license restrictions to certain countries does raise a red flag that the product is unsafe for use. Read more of my African Mango Product Reviews.
